IMPORTANT NOTICE: Starting on 2025 and forward, all means of communication will be through email and Discord ONLY. No exceptions._{2024's event was a struggle since we have some people not communicating with us or ghosting us when we reach out to them. We also had problems contacting people on their favored platform, only to be either locked or have their DMs disabled, having no way to contact them besides their email.
We think that having everyone in one place will make things a lot easier to keep track of, and we hope you understand our decision.}

Guidelines

The World Ends With You Secret Santa event
operates in EST (UTC -05:00), so all stated times are in EST.

Even if your timezone is PHT (UTC +08:00), and it’s Dec. 24, the start of the gift-giving period, you still abide by EST rules. There are some who forget about time zones. It’s a blessing and a curse after all.

Keep in mind this is a Secret Santa event, so please don’t share your progress around. If you’re having trouble with the gift and need to communicate with your giftee, I’ll be your little messenger. All communications are done through the giftee’s contact preference. Communication is key if you want your gifts to be done in a timely manner.

Creating your Gifts

In the sign-up form, you will be asked to pick what content you'll create. In other words, the gift of your recipient. There is a minimum requirement for them.

*If you’re drawing it traditionally, be sure that it’s scanned cleanly. Alternatively, take a picture of your art. Please don’t draw your traditional art on lined paper.

Procedure

The process is simple.Fill in the sign-up form, and you’ll receive a confirmation email from me and a Discord invite to the TWEWY Secret Santa server.When the sign-up process is done, the organizers will look over the Players’ wishlist and preferences to ensure you—the Player—can create the gift without feeling uncomfortable.Check-ins are how the organizers know the process is running smoothly and gauge the Player’s process if they have reached their expected minimum requirement. These are mandatory.

Check-Ins

How does the check-in process work?An announcement will be made through Discord, Tumblr, and Twitter,
followed by an email. You can choose to reply to your check-ins listed in the email.You are given a three-day (3) grace period to send in your progress. Failure to respond will receive a strike and be on the verge of being removed from the event—you’ll be notified through email. Miss two check-ins, you are removed from the event, and you’ll have to sign-up for next year.If you missed your first check-in but responded to the second check-in, your strike will be lifted.

Extensions

If something happened IRL and couldn't make the check-in, we perfectly understand. Please let us know via email or through the Discord server via #summon-a-conductor.However, the limit is up to 3 extra days. So, if the first check-in is on the 21st and you ask for an extension, it will last you until the 26th. Unless it's a very dire situation or something beyond your control that you can't make the deadline, then we'll make an exception. Again, please let us know.
